QUESTION: Where do the fireworks take place? ANSWER: North of Belt Line and west of Addison Road, on the south end of the Addison Airport. QUESTION: Where can I view the fireworks from? ANSWER: The fireworks can be seen from just about anywhere in Addison. Many hotels and restaurants are hosting watching parties - check the website for a complete listing. The Town of Addison along with our radio partner are hosting a watching party at Addison Circle Park (4970 Addison Circle Drive). QUESTION: What time are the fireworks? ANSWER: The fireworks will be launched at dusk (approximately 9:30 p.m.). QUESTION: How much is admission? ANSWER: Admission to the Addison watching party is free. The restaurants and hotels may charge a separate fee. QUESTION: Where do I park? ANSWER: Complimentary parking for the watching party at Addison Circle Park is located in the parking garages located at the corner of Arapaho and the Dallas Parkway. QUESTION: May I bring my pet to the event? ANSWER: Pets are allowed at Kaboom Town, but discouraged due to the amount of people and loud fireworks QUESTION: Where is parking for the disabled? ANSWER: Some handicap parking is available at the DART Transit Center, 4925 Arapaho Road QUESTION: Will any roads be closed? ANSWER: The Arapaho Bridge will be closed from 11:30 am on July 3, through the fireworks show (approximately 10:00 pm). Arapaho will re-open after the fireworks for egress. Lindbergh Drive will be closed from approximately 9 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. The Addison Airport Toll Tunnel will be one way westbound from approximately 9:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. and the Town of Addison will pay the tunnel fee for cars during the closed period. Addison Circle Drive from Addison Road to Witt will also be closed from about 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 a.m. Please note: after fireworks, the Addison Police Department may choose to restrict turns and direct traffic in another direction depending upon traffic volume during the exit plan. It may be best to drive beyond Addison's borders for a mile or two and then travel in the direction you desire to go. The Addison Police Department provides extra officers from surrounding communities to implement the post-event traffic plan, which is designed to move vehicles out of the viewing area in an orderly fashion. Patrons viewing the show can expect delays of up to 1.5 hours. Very few roads will be closed but some turns will be restricted in order to maximize the traffic flow. Patrons are encouraged to proceed in the direction they are directed until they travel beyond Addison’s borders by a few miles and then they can turn in the direction they need to go. Better yet, why not watch the free showing of our feathured Cinema in the Circle movie in Addison Circle Park and miss the traffic all together! QUESTION: May I bring a stroller, child's wagon or motorized wheelchair to the event? ANSWER: Yes; however, bicycles, skates, skateboards and scooters are not allowed. QUESTION: May I bring a cooler and picnic to the event? ANSWER: Yes you may bring a cooler with food and beverages; however, concessions will also be sold. There is no cooking or grilling in Addison Circle Park. QUESTION: Can I get cash on the event grounds? ANSWER: Yes, there will be an ATM machine on site.
