Addison Oktoberfest 5K Run

Run, walk, start a team or volunteer to support Wipe Out Kids' Cancer

Join the fight against childhood cancer by running or walking in the 29th annual WOKC Oktoberfest Run for the Children 5K/1M on Saturday, September 20, 2014. This family-friendly event is presented by Tom Thumb and is part of the annual Addison Oktoberfest celebration. All proceeds benefit Wipe Out Kid's Cancer (WOKC), a Dallas-based nonprofit organization founded in 1980 dedicated to raising awareness and funding for pediatric cancer research and to providing hope and support to children with cancer.

Participants can choose from a 1M Fun Run or a 5K course, and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three 5K male/female, overall and masters' division winners. Awards will be given in each 5K age category.
Event perks include a Finish Line Celebration with free breakfast, drinks, awards and entertainment including a concert by kids' favorite Eddie Coker.  Participants receive free admission to Addison Oktoberfest on race day, and the first 500 kids to cross the Fun Run finish line receive a goody bag that includes one free pass for the carnival rides on race day.
