Warrior Queen

The story of Nana Yaa Asantewaa, a legendary African queen who led the Ashanti Kingdom to war against their British occupiers to protect the Sika Dwa, a golden stool revered as a gift from heaven. 

Windowbreaker

When a string of break-ins occurs in a racially mixed suburb, residents are abuzz as to who is responsible.

Danzak

The life of a 10-year old girl, Nina, changes dramatically when her father and Master Dancer asks her to fulfill his last wish.
 
Aston's Stones
Director: Lotta Gefenblad, Uzi Geffenblad, 2008 Sweden
Aston finds stones on his way home. He feels sorry for them. They are lonely, bored and frozen, so he picks them up and takes care of them.


   The DALLAS Film Society celebrates films and their impact on society.  A 501(c)3 non-profit organization, DALLAS Film Society recognizes and honors filmmakers for their achievements in enhancing the creative community, provides educational programs to students to develop better understanding of the role of film in today's world, and promotes the City of Dallas and its commitment to the art of filmmaking. The annual DALLAS International Film Festival is a presentation of the non-profit DALLAS Film Society.
