Volunteers are needed on the evening of January 25 to help with the 2024 Point-in-Time (PIT) count. The PIT count is a nationwide event that brings together volunteers, community leaders, and street outreach workers to conduct a census of persons experiencing homelessness. Metrocrest Services will conduct the 2024 PIT count in Addison, Carrollton, Coppell, and Farmers Branch. Volunteers will work in teams alongside a street outreach expert to walk designated areas collecting census data. The information collected will help us understand the extent of homelessness in the Metrocrest area and provide data on Metrocrest Services’ efforts to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring. Email volunteermanager@metrocrestservices.org by Friday, January 19, to learn more and sign up to join the Metrocrest Services PIT Count Volunteer Team!
