November 1984, the number one song was Yes Owner of a Lonely Heart, Beverly Hills Cop was the top grossing film, Dynasty was the most watched television show, Amadeus swept the Academy Awards and the Blue Goose Cantina opened its doors to the first Dallas location on Lower Greenville Ave; thusly introducing the Metroplex to authentic Tex-Mex cuisine and the restaurants now famous Margarita. In honor of this occasion, all four locations will have 80s themed parties on November 19 from 5:00 pm to close, which will feature$2.50 margaritas and beer and food specials with prices reminiscent of 1984. Patrons are encouraged to dress in full eighties apparel parachute pants, acid wash jeans and vinyl miniskirts are welcome and will be rewarded!
The Blue Goose Cantina has become a favorite haunt for legions of patrons; and with the addition of locations in Addison, Plano and, now, Highland Village, customers who discovered the Blue Goose in the 1980s, can continue to engage in favorite menu items as adulthood moves them North. In essence a whole new Blue Goose generation is, and will continue, to populate the DFW dining landscape.
