Fogo de Chao invites guests to enjoy a traditional Brazilian beverage, Quentao.  Most popular during Brazil's winter months, Quentão is prepared with red wine, Cachaca (Brazilian sugarcane liquor), sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon and cloves.  The drink is served steaming hot, and best enjoyed in good company.

The secrets to Fogo de Chão’s style of preparing meats have been passed down from father to son for generations.  The gaúchos are more than chefs, they are caretakers for a culture of cuisine, imported directly from Southern Brazil to continue the traditions of their people.  Dating back over three centuries to the times when gaúchos (Southern Brazilian Cowboys) roamed the southern pampas with their distinctive pleated trousers, neckerchiefs and leather boots.  It was here that the Gaúcho culinary tradition of roasting large cuts of meats over an open flame while sharing stories of the day's adventures began.

Plus, Fogo de Chão offers an infinite choice of fresh produce on the salad bar in the center of the restaurant, with items including:  Cucumber and Onion Salad, Roasted Yellow and Red Peppers, Jumbo Asparagus, Italian Greens with Mozzarella Cheese, Broccoli, Sundried Tomatoes, Green Bean and Carrot Salad, Caesar Salad, Proscuitto, Salami, Baby Swiss Cheese, Gouda Cheese and Whole Mozzarella.

Guests can also experience the delicious side dishes--including unique, warm Cheese Bread; seasoned Mashed Potatoes; crispy, hot Polenta and sweet Fried Bananas that are brought to each table and replenished throughout the meal. Fogo de Chão also features a Wine Spectator award-winning wine list, a full bar and a variety of decadent desserts.

Since its first U.S. opening in 1997, Fogo de Chão, a genuine steakhouse from Rio Grande de Sul in Southern Brazil, has been awing its guests with the history and tradition of a bona fide “churrascaria.”  With its “Gaúcho” chefs, delectably slow-roasted meats and spectacular exhibition of authenticity, this Brazilian restaurant continues its expansion in the United States.  In addition to the four U. S. locations—Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Fogo de Chão also has four restaurants in Brazil—Porto Alegre, Sao Paulo (3 restaurants).
