In Greece, small plates are called mezzes...in Spain they are called tapas...and the Cantonese call them dim sum.  Mezzes are an integral part of Mediterranean culture and have spread across Europe and the world.

Initially mezzes were a few olives, dolmades, hummus and bread served at Greek tavernas on small plates consumed by friends with a glass of wine or ouzo.  Now they are just about any kind of food served in small portions.  At  Ziziki's Taverna mezzes are meant to be enjoyed as a meal...select a variety of tastes and share.  Opa!
