On Friday, September 29, Mayor Bruce Arfsten, Mayor Pro Tempore Eileen Resnik, Deputy Mayor Pro Tempore Guillermo Quintanilla, Council Member Marlin Willesen, and City Manager David Gaines attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Thrust Institute of Maintenance at 16111 Addison Road. An affiliate of Thrust Flight, the Institute offers an FAA-approved 12-month aviation maintenance technician program that will take students from “no experience to a certified A&P ready to work." As part of the ceremony, the inaugural Jim Patterson scholarship for $2500 was awarded to Cadence Bomgardner.

Congratulations, Thrust Institute of Maintenance, and thank you for locating your new business at Addison Airport!
