Pointing at traffic light

On Tuesday, October 3, Les Lacs Park buzzed with activity as the community came together for Addison's National Night Out event. Fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars opened their doors, allowing residents to step inside and explore. A hands-on session captivated many as police officers demonstrated the use of fingerprints in investigations. Animal Control introduced a few of its adoptable dogs, each eagerly awaiting its furever home.

Children especially enjoyed the bounce house, cotton candy, popcorn, and balloon animals. Adults were more impressed by the size of the traffic light featured by the Public Works and Engineering Department staff as well as their insights on the inner workings of the displayed fire hydrant and water meter.

The Development Services team provided information on the new Comprehensive Plan update, while the Parks and Recreation staff promoted upcoming programs, ensuring residents stayed informed about future community events and initiatives.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to enjoy all the activities and meet a few new neighbors.
