Be Aware of Utility Billing Scams

ALERT! Water bill scammers have been taking advantage of residents and businesses throughout North Texas. Although Addison has not had any reported incidents, this WFAA story shares how prolific this scam has been.

Addison's Finance Department wanted to share a few important reminders to protect the Town's residents and businesses:

• Addison will notify you of a delinquent bill by mail, never by phone.
• Addison does not collect payments through CashApp or any other third-party payment system. Here are all of the Town's payment options:
  • Online in the Utility Billing Portal
  • Mail through a Lockbox at the Finance building
  • In person at the Finance building (5350 Belt Line Road)
