Ashley Wake Promoted to Director of Human Resources

Addison is pleased to announce the promotion of Ashley Wake to the position of Director of Human Resources. Wake previously served as the Town’s Controller in the Finance Department.

Although she worked in the private sector as an accounting clerk while earning her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of North Texas, Wake’s passion for public service led her to transition to the public sector early in her career, and she has never looked back. Wake’s first municipal position was as a police dispatcher for the City of Plano. A few years later, she transitioned to the fields of Human Resources and Payroll with the Town of Sunnyvale. During her tenure there, she played a significant role in the development of the Employee Handbook that Sunnyvale continues to use today. Over the past ten years, Wake has accumulated experience in governmental accounting, with seven of those years spent with Addison. She joined the Town’s Finance Department as a Senior Accountant and rapidly climbed the ranks, holding positions as Accounting Supervisor, Accounting Manager, and ultimately serving as Controller.

Wake’s enthusiasm for a fast-paced environment and her focus on cohesive team development positions her well for her new role as the Director of Human Resources.
