2023 Regional Transit Tour Explores Future of Transit Connectivity in North Texas

On Wednesday, October 25, Mayor Bruce Arfsten, Deputy Mayor Pro Tempore Guillermo Quintanilla, and Economic Development Manager Lauren Williams participated in the 2023 Regional Transit Tour. Hosted by the Transit Coalition of North Texas, this tour featured the transit-oriented developments along the Silver Line. It started in Richardson at the City Line/Bush Station, continued to the Addison Circle Station, and finally ended at the Grapevine Station. The tour guides provided updates from DART on the rail line’s construction progression as well as how the Silver Line will connect riders to DFW Airport and Trinity Metro’s TEXRail. Participants included elected officials and staff members from the entire North Texas region, providing a forum for discussions on the region’s future opportunities for mobility connectivity and economic development, as well as how we may provide a first-class experience as riders move throughout the Metroplex.
