Development Services is dedicated to protecting and enhancing our Town through responsible, sustainable planning and expansion initiatives. On a mission to guard the public's well-being and welfare, our team leads the enforcement of building and maintenance codes, manages inspections of restaurants, as well as public and private facilities, and assures compliance with environmental and public health regulations. From planning and zoning decisions to diverse permitting programs, the Development Services department supports the integrity of Addison’s business centers and family resources.
Building Inspection
permits@addisontx.govThe Building Safety Division is responsible for ensuring the safety of existing buildings and new construction within the Town of Addison. Compliance is achieved through the review of building plans, issuance of permits and on-site inspection of construction on private property to verify compliance with the Building, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Codes. Additionally, this division registers contractors, and provides code information for new building construction, remodels, alterations, pools, fences, and signs.
